OPENING RECEPTION FRIDAY MARCH 27, 2026 5-9 PM, SHOW RUNS MARCH 20- APRIL 12, 2026
In this show you will find oil abstract on canvas by Cristina Bowes in her show titled “Santosha” complete contentment. In this exhibit Cristina invites the viewer to explore feelings of complete contentment.—the quiet space where nothing needs to be judged as good or bad. Each work emerges from a practice of allowing things to simply be as they are. Rather than pushing toward a predetermined meaning or trying to prove a point, the process became one of listening, noticing, and accepting what unfolded.
What remains is not an argument, but an outcome. Each piece stands as it is, complete in the state it reached, without needing to be better, worse, or anything else. This show is an invitation to encounter that same openness: to look without needing resolution, and to allow what is present to simply be what it is.
Cristina’s artwork is characterized by one-of-a-kind oil abstract paintings that harmonize color, movement, and composition. Her goal is to create pieces that not only captivate the eye but also resonate on a deeper emotional level with the viewer. Believing in the importance of authenticity, Cristina’s art reflects her personal experiences and feelings. Each piece is an exploration of her inner world, inviting viewers to connect with their own emotions and experiences. Through her work, she aims to foster a meaningful dialogue between art and the viewer, encouraging a shared journey of discovery.
