DENVER, CO – 931 Gallery is “Chilling out” in February with a solo exhibition by Artist Denise Demby.
Located on the North End of the Santa Fe Arts District, Artist Denise Demby uses symbols from urban life including architecture, industrial materials, atmosphere and even the effect of graffiti – to express the perplexing psychological society in the subconscious superhighway. In this series you will see minimalist paintings and steel and glass pieces that seem to ask the viewer to “slow down and listen”. At the same time you will see new drawings and paintings with an expressive flavor, imitating symbols that deconstruct themselves, as if they are being “tagged” with graffiti on the streets. The artists metaphoric debate of creativity, destruction and effort to filter through and discover what’s important.

The First Friday Reception at 931 Gallery (931 Santa Fe Drive, Suite 150, Denver, CO, 80204) is on February 3rd, 2023 from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Show runs from Feb 3rd, 2023 to March 19, 2023. Gallery Hours are First Friday 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM and Friday through Sundays 12:00 PM -4:00 PM during the exhibition. Last Sunday of the month 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM. The gallery is on the North end of the Arts District and is accessible by the Light Rail and there is free parking throughout the District.
