I have focused on the pigment transfer printing process style. This style of printmaking transfer uses a digital image printed on a substrate and then that image is transferred onto the paper. My method does not use any chemicals to release the ink onto the paper. The paper I print on is called Masa which is a machine made paper made in Japan of sulphite pulp. This strong, white, acid free, smooth with even formation absorbs the pigment well and does have reasonable color fidelity.
In this current series I am focused on the fish from around the world as the main subjects of these pigment transfer monotypes.
