“This exhibition explores figurative art as both psychological terrain and contemporary inquiry, where the human body functions not merely as representation but as a site of emotional, social and perceptual complexity. The figure becomes a vessel for internal states of memory, tension, vulnerability, presence.

We are particularly interested in work that pushes beyond academic or traditional figurative art, engaging the body through a distinctly contemporary lens. How do you interpret posture, gesture, connection, identity?  Whether your work is realistic, abstract, bold, quiet, textured, or minimal, we want to see it.

All media accepted." Weight limitation 30 lbs

The Jurors:

Cristina is an abstract oil painter whose work explores the harmony of color, movement, and composition to create visually compelling pieces with emotional depth. Guided by a meditative, intuitive process, she channels personal experiences and authentic expression into each one-of-a-kind painting, inviting viewers to form their own meaningful connections. Based in Castle Rock, Colorado, she is an active member of her local arts community. She serves on the exhibition committee for the Castle Rock Artist Alliance and is a member at 931 Gallery in Denver.

Lynn Hurley is a contemporary mixed media and oil painter exploring the female form, portraiture, and the introspective dimensions of the human experience through a feminine lens. Her nationally exhibited, award-winning portraits and figurative work has been featured in Art for Recovery, Arts to Hearts Foundation’s Emerging Artists, Bold Journey Magazine, Shoutout Colorado, Reno News and Review, and the nonprofit Art for Recovery book, A Decade of Creative Expression to Inspire Change in Treating Addiction. She was also selected for the series The Outstanding Artist. A four-year contributing artist to the Doors to Recovery Foundation, with work auctioned at the Nevada Museum of Art, she brings a discerning, conceptually rich, and emotionally attuned perspective as a juror.
